PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE REPORTS
OUTCOME OF IOV PERFORMANCE REPORTS

Last week, the Victorian Parliament’s Integrity and Oversight Committee tabled 2 reports that provide a strong endorsement of our work.
The committee’s Performance of the Victorian integrity agencies 2023–24 and 2024–25 report recognised IOV’s ‘2 productive years of change’ and made no recommendations for IOV. It commended our work across complaints handling, investigations, oversight of coercive powers, monitoring IBAC’s handling of police complaints and our contribution to major integrity and budget inquiries.

The auditors found that IOV was achieving the objectives of the Integrity Oversight Victoria Act 2011 in material respects and highlighted our ability to adapt and mature our approaches in an evolving oversight environment.
The audit also identified areas where we can continue to strengthen our consistency, systems, information handling and resource capacity. We are already progressing many of these actions through our 2026-28 strategic action plan.
These reports recognise the professionalism, capability and dedication of our people and the important contribution IOV makes to Victoria’s integrity system.
